Moo's virtual world

Phone books. How many people still use them? Ok, it's probably a lot, but I don't and I'm sure more and more people use the internet instead. So why do the phone companies still distribute these books every year to every address? Its a huge amount of paper. And surely it costs a lot... oh wait, advertising. Ah yes I see, nevermind. Maybe they just didn't see my "no junk mail" sign...
