Moving sale! (Vancouver)

Edit: I have now moved and this post is now useless. May you enjoy it if for some very odd reason you decide to read it... though you probably won't. In fact I strongly insist that you may be bored out of your mind if you continue reading from this point on. Really, what the hell are you doing? Go read a book or walk the dog or study your multiplication tables or bake a cake or scratch a head or poke a fish or flip a coin or ten coins or save a cow or get the hiccups and then get scared to get rid of it or... ok the boring part really starts now.

I'm moving to Toronto, so it's too expensive to take all my furniture with me. If you want anythying, contact me afternoons and evenings at --- or anytime by email ---. Located at Burrard and Broadway, Vancouver, BC.

Queen sofabed and matching loveseat, optional slipcovers - $150 (+$150 for covers)

Comfortable sofa and loveseat. Sofa is hide-a-bed style with queen-size Serta spring mattress. Mattress might not look like much, but is actually very decent. My mom thought it was comfortable and that's saying something :). Some wear on some cushions. Bought second hand 2 years ago and very happy with them. $150 for both. Great deal. Cannot deliver, but I can help you get them downstairs.

Also available: like-new champagne faux-suede slipcovers for both sofa and loveseat (Bought 2 years ago from Sears catalog for $300). They look great in them (see last picture). Will let slipcovers go for $150 more with sofas, I think it's worth it.

Sealy queen mattress and boxspring - $200

Sealy Posture Perfect Backsaver 3000 plush queen mattress and boxspring. 200$ About 5 years old, bought from previous tenant 3 years ago (she was a UBC student, like myself). I've been very happy with it, very comfortable. It's in good condition (just a few small holes on one side, see third picture) and I just gave it a thorough vacuuming and steam cleaning. I cannot deliver, but I can help you get it in your vehicle.

Ikea desk - $18

Table top was cut about an inch to fit in former closet, so missing laminate on one side. Also "faux-ebony" laminate finish has scratches and wear. But legs are good and worth $7 a piece new.

Ikea Shelving unit (bookcase) - $20 SOLD

2 Ikea wall shelves - $5 (free with other furniture purchase)

Kitchen stuff, 3 lots (dishes, steamer, cheap kit) - $20

Lot 1 $5: 4 large plates, 2 small plates, 2 small bowls, 4 cups, 1 large glass.

Lot 2 $10: Large Lagostina vegetable steamer with 2 lids, vinegar bottle, 2 large plastic plates for munchies or veggies with dip, metal spatula, clothespins, 1 mug.

Lot 3 $5: That's most of a cheap kit (was 35$ I think) I got at Canadian Tire. Good kit for camping. 4 of each: plates and bowls (plastic so lightweight), forks, spoons, knives, steak knives. Plastic cutting board with chef's knive, bread knife and 2 smaller knives. Frying pan, small and large pots with glass lids. As you can see from the last picture pots are scratched and somewhat rusty, frying pan not as bad. Note two bowls are missing in picture, as well as 4 plastic drinking glasses.

Free with any lot (while available): bamboo place mats, martini glass, perhaps other things I forget.

Master Cut 2 multipurpose kitchen knife - $10

Master Cut 2 multipurpose kitchen knife with lifetime guarantee. Triple tempered surgical stainless steel. Bought at live demonstration at Sears, same as seen on TV where they cut a hammer head with it and it stays sharp. Got two, but only need one. Never used. 10$ Will throw in extra large wooden cutting board.

Wooden step stool - $3

Simple very sturdy one step wooden stool. Been using it as a foot rest under my desk and when I need the extra reach.
